PAOK Academy U16 team to join Super League 2 K19 championship

The PAOK Academy is set to enter its U16 team into the Super League 2 K19 championship for the 2026-27 season. This initiative aims to accelerate the development of young players, primarily those born in 2011, by challenging them in a league with higher age and competitive requirements.

Under the guidance of Dimitris Orfanou, the team will compete in Group A alongside clubs such as AEL, Apollon Kalamarias, Niki Volos, Nestos Chrysoupolis, Panthrakikos, and Panserraikos. The squad is permitted to include up to four foreign players and five professional players.

The season begins on October 24 or 25, 2026, with a home match against Niki Volos. The league structure consists of two groups of seven teams, featuring a regular season of 21 matchdays followed by a placement phase.
