PAOK coach Alešio Lisi outlines preseason strategy while honoring former boss Lucescu

Greek club PAOK completed its preseason training camp in the Netherlands under new head coach Alešio Lisi. Lisi praised predecessor Răzvan Lucescu, calling him a "great coach" whose successful ideas the team will retain, while also introducing his own tactical adjustments such as using a 4‑2‑3‑1 formation.

During the camp PAOK played four friendly matches – three wins against Beveren, Vesterlo and AEK Larnaca and a loss to Twente. Lisi, who also participated in the games, scored 13 goals across the fixtures. He noted the players’ hard work, high‑tempo training, and their growing understanding of his concepts, while acknowledging areas still needing improvement and injury concerns for several squad members.

Lisi said the goal is to combine Lucescu’s strengths with his own ideas to create the best possible version of PAOK for the upcoming league and European matches.
