PAOK coach Razvan Lucescu confirms one‑year contract and outlines future amid player injuries

Razvan Lucescu, head coach of Greek club PAOK, told Romanian media that he remains under contract for another season and will not discuss his future beyond that. He said, "I have a contract for another year… the club will decide what is best for them," adding that a release clause exists but is irrelevant at this stage.

Speaking on the sidelines of a friendly match in Bucharest that marked the 20‑year anniversary of the 2006 UEFA Cup semi‑final between the two capital clubs, Lucescu also addressed the team's recent injury problems. He detailed setbacks to key players: Zivkovic suffered a muscle tear that kept him out for about two and a half months, a right‑back endured a heel swelling for two months, and goalkeeper Pavlenka missed 1.5 months after two separate blows. Lucescu highlighted the impact of these absences on PAOK's season, which ended without any trophies, and stressed the strong bond he feels with the club and its supporters.
