PAOK coach Razvan Lucescu set to depart after five‑year spell

Romanian coach Razvan Lucescu is close to ending his five‑year tenure at Greek football club PAOK. The club and the coach have been negotiating a mutual termination of his contract, which still has one year remaining, after discussions with sporting director Ivan Savvidis. Sources say an agreement is imminent, with Lucescu expected to leave as a free agent.

During his spell, Lucescu guided PAOK to two Greek Super League titles, including an unbeaten 2018‑19 season, and two Greek Cups, marking the most successful period in the club’s recent history. The administration is now preparing to appoint a successor to continue the team’s domestic ambitions. Reports also mentioned outside interest, notably from a Qatari side, but the club’s immediate focus remains on finalising the coach’s exit and planning the upcoming season’s squad and transfers.
