Bahçeşehir defeats PAOK 84-81 in EuroCup clash
Bahçeşehir secured an 84-81 victory against PAOK in their fifth EuroCup match held at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall. Despite a strong performance from PAOK's Cedi Osman, who recorded 30 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals, the Greek side could not complete a late comeback after trailing by as many as 17 points.
Bahçeşehir was led by Malachi Flynn, who scored 28 points, supported by Marquis Rivers and others. PAOK showed resilience in the second half, narrowing a significant deficit to within two points in the final minutes, but a decisive basket by Bahçeşehir's Matías Pollitka and a missed three-pointer by PAOK's Brin Tahiri sealed the result.
With this win, Bahçeşehir moves to a 4-1 record in Group D, while PAOK falls to 3-2. Bahçeşehir coach Sasha Djordjevic noted that while he is pleased with the win, the team needs to play more decisively to avoid allowing opponents to stay close in the closing stages of games.
