PAOK FC challenges refereeing decisions in Panathinaikos derby

PAOK FC has filed official complaints with the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) and the Central Refereeing Committee (KED) regarding refereeing decisions during their recent derby against Panathinaikos. The club is specifically contesting a non-call for a penalty in the 33rd minute, alleging that player Van den Bergh fouled Ndiaye.

In its formal correspondence, PAOK is requesting access to the audio dialogue between referee Dominik Zwayer and the VAR officials, Miller and Erhard Sin. The club has also requested that match footage be forwarded to UEFA and the German Football Association (DFB) to investigate the officiating and determine if disciplinary actions are warranted.

While IFAB regulations generally prohibit the public release of VAR communications, officials may invite the club to the VAR offices to hear the recordings. Authorities noted that any disciplinary measures regarding the German officials would ultimately be handled by their respective national federation or UEFA.
