PAOK reportedly among first four clubs for EuroLeague franchise expansion

Reports indicate that PAOK Thessaloniki is among the first four clubs expected to join the EuroLeague under a new franchise model. According to Spanish outlet ‘Encestando’, the initial group of franchise teams is expected to include Valencia, Paris, Dubai BC, and PAOK, with official decisions anticipated in early November.

The EuroLeague has outlined a ten-year financial plan involving the distribution of €3.4 billion to participating teams. This includes approximately €1.2 billion expected from entry fees paid by 12 to 15 new clubs seeking franchise status over the next four years. The total projected entry amount for the first four clubs is estimated at €300 million.

On the court, PAOK is currently competing in the EuroCup, where players such as Nick Calathes, Cedi Osman, and Brin Taïri are playing key roles in the team's early-season performance.
