PAOK reportedly fails to sign Chris Jones from Red Star
PAOK has reportedly made an inquiry to acquire American guard Chris Jones from Red Star Belgrade, but the Serbian club has declined the move.
According to reports from MozzartSport, PAOK approached the 33-year-old player to explore transfer conditions. While Greek media outlets suggested PAOK was prepared to offer a contract worth up to 3,000,000 euros per year, no official proposal was made. Red Star has reportedly rejected the possibility of releasing the player, who is a key member of the Euroleague squad coached by Ibón Navarro.
Jones currently averages 8.8 points and 5.9 assists per game. Because he is under a one-year contract with an option to renew, any transfer before the end of his term would require a significant buyout fee. Despite the current impasse, reports suggest the market remains fluid.
