PAOK signs French right‑back William Micelbrens
Greek club PAOK has reached a definitive agreement with 22‑year‑old French defender William Micelbrens. The free‑agent, who spent the 2025/26 season with Hamburger SV in the German Bundesliga, recorded 26 league appearances and four assists. He is expected to travel to Thessaloniki in early August 2026 for medical examinations and to sign a contract, with the transfer fee reported around €700,000.
Micelbrens, a product of Metz’s academy and a former French youth‑international, will reinforce PAOK’s right‑back position after the departure of Jorge Santos, adding competition for the role alongside existing defenders. The signing completes another move for the club ahead of the new season and upcoming European qualifiers.
