PAOK targets Kristijan Jakic for midfield reinforcement

PAOK is actively pursuing Croatian midfielder Kristijan Jakic to strengthen their midfield. The 29-year-old, currently under contract with German club FC Augsburg until 2028, has emerged as a primary target for the Thessaloniki-based club.

Negotiations are currently facing a hurdle regarding the transfer structure. PAOK is exploring a loan deal with an optional purchase clause. However, Augsburg prefers either a permanent sale or a loan that includes a mandatory purchase obligation.

PAOK faces competition for the player, as both Union Berlin and Torino have also expressed interest. Jakic brings significant experience to the table, having played in the Bundesliga and previously winning the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt. He is also a member of the Croatian national team.
