PAOK women's team eliminated from Champions League after loss to Brann
PAOK's women's football team has been eliminated from the UEFA Women's Champions League following a 3-2 defeat against the Norwegian champions, Brann, in Budapest.
PAOK took an early lead in the 11th minute through a goal by Argyriou, assisted by Drakogianni. Brann responded in the 23rd minute with a goal from Somer, leveling the score at 1-1. In the second half, Brann's Somer scored again in the 52nd minute to take the lead. Although Mitkou scored a penalty for PAOK in stoppage time to bring the score to 3-2, Brann secured the victory with a late counter-attack goal by Leotola.
As a result of this loss, PAOK will move to the UEFA Women's Europa Cup (Round of 32), while Brann advances to the next phase of the Champions League.
