South American Games 2026 to be held in Santa Fe, Argentina

The XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026 are scheduled to take place from September 12 to 26 across the Argentine cities of Santa Fe, Rosario, and Rafaela. The event is expected to host over 4,000 athletes from 15 participating countries.

The Argentine Olympic Committee has confirmed a record-breaking delegation of 658 athletes, comprising 346 men and 312 women, competing across 59 disciplines. This includes the historic debut of esports, with competitions in VALORANT, EA SPORTS FC, and Assetto Corsa Competizione held in Rosario.

Infrastructure preparations are well underway, including the inauguration of renovated hockey facilities by Governor Maximiliano Pullaro and upgrades to various sports clubs in Rosario to ensure a lasting legacy. While most events are local, certain disciplines will be held in other regions; for instance, surfing will take place in Mar del Plata and bowling in Vicente López due to specific technical requirements.

The opening ceremony is set to be a massive production at the Monumento Nacional a la Bandera in Rosario, featuring over 100 artists.
