Paola Mayté Gorzo Lozada enters Huejotzingo mayoral race

Paola Mayté Gorzo Lozada is reportedly set to compete against Roberto Solís for the MORENA party nomination for the mayoralty of Huejotzingo.

Gorzo Lozada currently serves as the Director of the Civil Registry of Puebla. She is the daughter of José Pablo Roberto Gorzo Ortega and the granddaughter of a former councilman from the mid-1990s. Observers have noted the timing of her father opening a public notary in early 2025, shortly after the start of the new state government, as a significant political signal.
