Paolo Barbieri to release career retrospective book

Illustrator Paolo Barbieri is releasing a new book, ‘Trent’anni di disegni sbagliati – L’arte di Paolo Barbieri’, celebrating three decades of his professional career. The collection features a selection of both published and unpublished works, tracing his evolution from childhood drawings to his established role in the publishing industry.

The book explores Barbieri’s ability to translate literary atmospheres into visual imagery, particularly through his reinterpretations of classical myths and Western culture, including works such as Dante’s ‘Inferno’, ‘The Odyssey’, and ‘Dracula’. The collection will be available in preview at Lucca Comics & Games 2026 and through specific retailers including Funside/Games Academy, the Bonelli Store, and the Sergio Bone online shop.
