Paolo Belli to work behind the scenes for Ballando con le stelle 2026

Paolo Belli will not appear on camera during the 2026 season of the Rai 1 program ‘Ballando con le stelle’. This decision was made in agreement between the artist and Rai’s Prime Time Entertainment Direction, following a period of personal and professional transition.

The move follows a serious bicycle accident on July 13, 2026, in the Bassa Reggiana region, which resulted in the death of 41-year-old Alessandro Magnani. While Belli sustained only minor injuries, the incident caused significant shock and led him to temporarily suspend his professional activities.

Although Belli will not be seen on screen, he will remain an active part of the production, contributing behind the scenes to the 2026 season. Rai noted that while he is gradually returning to live and television performances, his on-camera presence was deemed inappropriate given the current editorial context of the talent show.
