Paolo Bonolis rules out Sanremo hosting return

Television presenter Paolo Bonolis has stated he has no intention of returning to host the Sanremo Music Festival, expressing a desire to make room for younger talent. During an interview with Il Foglio, the 65-year-old host emphasized his support for Stefano De Martino, praising his abilities to lead the prestigious event in future editions.

While Bonolis remains a prominent figure at Mediaset, he acknowledged that the public broadcaster, Rai, continues to pursue him. Although he stated he is currently satisfied with his position, he noted that a return to Rai is a possibility in the future, stating, “It could also happen again.”
