Paolo Fernandes nearing loan move from AEK to Alanyaspor

AEK Athens is nearing an agreement to loan Spanish midfielder Paolo Fernandes to the Turkish club Alanyaspor. The deal is expected to include an option to buy.

Fernandes, 28, is not in the plans of AEK coach Marko Nikolić following his return from a loan spell with Al-Khaleej in Saudi Arabia. This move is part of a broader effort by the club's management to reduce the roster size by offloading players who are not part of the current technical plans.

During his tenure with AEK, Fernandes was part of the squad that achieved a domestic double and scored a notable goal in the Cup final against PAOK. He has made 55 appearances for the club, recording three goals and two assists.
