Paolo Guerrero blames Instagram hack for social media controversy

Peruvian footballer Paolo Guerrero has issued a public apology following a social media hack that caused his Instagram account to refollow his former partner, Alondra Garcia Miro, and repost her content.

Guerrero, a forward for Alianza Lima, reported that his accounts were subject to unauthorized access from multiple devices, including one session originating from Brazil. The breach resulted in automated interactions such as likes and friend requests. The incident caused friction in his current relationship with Ana Paula Consorte, leading to both parties unfollowing each other on the platform.

Guerrero stated that legal proceedings have been initiated against the hackers. He noted that judicial intervention has helped authorities identify suspects, allowing for the filing of criminal complaints.
