Paolo Ruffini confronts scammer impersonating him for charity

Italian actor and director Paolo Ruffini has confronted an individual using his identity to scam fans out of money. The incident came to light after a fan approached Ruffini following a performance to report that she had donated 4,000 euros to support his social inclusion and charitable projects.

Ruffini clarified that he had never requested such funds and was unaware of any such collection. Upon discovering the fraud, the actor used the victim's smartphone to record a video message directly to the impersonator, warning that the perpetrator would eventually be caught.

The actor has since appealed to his followers to report any social media profiles that impersonate him to solicit money, emphasizing that these scammers exploit the generosity and kindness of his supporters.
