Paolo Zanetti introduced as new Udinese manager

Paolo Zanetti has been officially presented as the new head coach of Udinese, following the dismissal of Kosta Runjaic. The decision came after a difficult start to the Serie A season, with the club securing only five points in ten matches and sitting in the penultimate position of the standings.

During his introductory press conference, Zanetti emphasized a philosophy centered on hard work, commitment, and physical effort. He stated that playing time will be determined by performance and work ethic, noting, “with me, those who run, work, and pedal will play.”

Zanetti addressed the squad's current state, describing the team as a “nearly perfect machine” that needs to increase its intensity to avoid relegation. He also provided updates on player availability, mentioning that the club is evaluating the fitness of Solet ahead of the upcoming match against Venezia scheduled for Friday, November 6.
