Papa Johns sells 28 Orlando restaurants to franchisee Wade Oney

Papa Johns has sold 28 corporate-owned restaurants in the Orlando, Florida, market to PZZA Group, LLC and Magic City Pizzerias, LLC. Both entities are led by longtime franchisee Wade Oney.

This transaction is part of a broader strategic initiative by Papa Johns to reduce its corporate ownership of North American restaurants from over 15% to the mid-single digits by partnering with established franchise operators. Following this sale and the opening of 10 new locations in 2025, Oney and his organizations now operate more than 120 Papa Johns locations across Central and South Florida.
