Papamobil – Ein Papst on Tour set for August home media release

The French comedy film ‘Papamobil – Ein Papst on Tour’, directed by Sylvain Estibal, is scheduled for home media release in August 2026. The film will be available digitally starting August 13, 2026, followed by Blu-ray and DVD releases on August 28, 2026.

Starring Kad Merad, the satirical comedy follows a newly appointed Pope planning a tour through Latin America. Due to a lack of Vatican funds, the trip is financed by a wealthy Mexican woman who is revealed to be part of a drug cartel. The plot involves a kidnapping attempt that results in the cartel mistakenly seizing the Pope’s doppelgänger instead of the religious leader.
