Papantla authorities conduct taxi inspection operations

State and federal authorities conducted a supervisory operation targeting taxi units in Papantla, Veracruz, to ensure compliance with current transportation regulations. The inspections were led by the State Public Transport Delegation in coordination with the Internal Affairs division of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP).

During the operation, officials performed random inspections to verify that drivers and concessionaires possessed the necessary documentation, including valid permits and insurance policies. Authorities also examined the physical and mechanical condition of the vehicles to identify potential safety risks caused by bodywork deterioration or mechanical deficiencies. These periodic inspections are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security and legality within the region's public transport system.
