Papapetrou tobacco warehouses to become museum in Agrinio
The tender process has begun for the renovation and modernization of the Papapetrou tobacco warehouses in Agrinio, Greece. The project aims to transform the historic interwar monument into a Timeless Museum and cultural space.
With a budget of 19,048,387.10 euros (excluding VAT), the initiative is funded by the Western Greece 2021-2027 Operational Program and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the European Commission. The four-story building, covering 7,450 square meters, will undergo extensive construction, electromechanical, and structural upgrades to accommodate its new museum functions.
The Ministry of Culture is the implementing body. The deadline for bid submissions is October 20, with the opening of bids scheduled for October 21, 2026.
