Pape Matar Sarr faces potential Tottenham exit amid transfer interest
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr is facing a potential departure as the summer transfer window nears its close. Manager Roberto De Zerbi has indicated that Sarr's exit remains a possibility, noting that the club has been clear with players regarding their status.
Sarr was reportedly informed by club officials that he is not part of the sporting plans for the current season, following the arrivals of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali. The 23-year-old Senegalese international has expressed frustration with the decision, notably removing photos related to the club from his social media profiles.
Several clubs have expressed interest in the midfielder. Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest have made official inquiries, while AS Monaco is reportedly exploring a loan option. Tottenham has valued Sarr between £30 million and £50 million for Premier League clubs, or approximately €25 million to €30 million for international buyers. The club is reportedly keen to finalize a sale to offset significant recent expenditures on new signings.
