Pape Matar Sarr in talks for loan move to AS Monaco

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr is nearing a move to AS Monaco on a season-long loan. Discussions have reportedly taken place regarding the player's project and salary.

Sarr, who is under contract with Tottenham until June 2030, has seen his playing time diminish following the club's recent midfield reinforcements, including the arrivals of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes. The 23-year-old Senegal international has already reached a personal agreement with the Ligue 1 club and has held discussions with coach Filipe Luís.

While the clubs must still finalize the specific terms of the operation, the move would see Sarr return to the French league, where he previously played for FC Metz. Monaco is looking to bolster its midfield, potentially following the departure of Lamine Camara.
