Pape Matar Sarr joins Juventus from Tottenham in 30M euro deal

Juventus has reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur to sign Senegalese midfielder Pape Matar Sarr. The deal is structured as a loan with an option to buy that becomes mandatory under specific conditions, with the total package estimated at 30 million euros.

Sarr, who joined Tottenham from FC Metz in 2021, seeks more playing time after seeing his minutes reduced in London. He joins a Juventus midfield managed by Luciano Spalletti, which has been weakened by the injury to Khéphren Thuram.

Before finalizing the deal for Sarr, Juventus had considered other options, including a potential free transfer for Sofyan Amrabat. However, the club ultimately chose to invest in the younger Sarr as a strategic prospect for the midfield.
