Papermaker House retirement community begins construction in Ivybridge

Construction has officially commenced on Papermaker House, a new retirement community in Ivybridge, Devon. The project reached a milestone with a brick-laying ceremony attended by Ivybridge Town Mayor Cllr Phillip Dredge.

Developed by McCarthy & Stone, the site will feature a collection of one- and two-bedroom apartments designed for residents aged 60 and over. The development aims to provide flexible living options, enhanced security, and communal spaces such as a lounge and landscaped gardens. The name Papermaker House honors the local area's historical papermaking heritage.

Construction is currently underway with an expected completion date in mid-2027. Homes are scheduled to be released for off-plan sale in February.
