Paphos hotels expect 85%-90% occupancy in August

Hotel occupancy rates in the Paphos district of Cyprus are expected to reach between 85% and 90% during August. Euripidis Loizidis, President of the Paphos Hotel Association, noted that the period around August 15th is expected to see particularly high demand and increased visitor arrivals.

This projected improvement follows a period of decline earlier in the season. In May and June, occupancy losses reached approximately 15%, while July saw a 10% decrease compared to the previous year. Although the market is showing signs of gradual recovery, it has not yet returned to last year's levels.

Loizidis expressed cautious optimism, noting that many bookings are being made at the last minute. This trend is attributed to economic pressures on consumers, who are delaying travel decisions to seek the best possible prices.
