Paphos mayor condemns vandalism after charity event

After a charity event in Kato Paphos, graffiti and other acts of vandalism damaged public and private property, creating repair costs that will be borne by local taxpayers.

Mayor Angelos Onisiforos issued a statement condemning the behaviour, saying, "This is not fan support or expression; it is a lack of respect for our city and its citizens." He stressed that public assets belong to the community, urged supporters to express their love for the team respectfully, and added, "Sport unites, vandalism only divides," calling for the protection of Paphos.
