Paphos Medieval Castle to host Donizetti’s ‘L’Elisir d’Amore’

Preparations are finalized for the opera ‘L’Elisir d’Amore’ by Gaetano Donizetti, which will be performed at the Paphos Medieval Castle. A dress rehearsal was recently held, involving artists, musicians, and production staff to finalize the performance before its premiere.

The historic castle will serve as a cultural venue for two nights, hosting the production on Friday, September 4, and Saturday, September 5. The event aims to combine Donizetti’s music with the unique atmosphere of one of the city’s most significant monuments.

Students from the Paphos Music School attended the dress rehearsal, providing them with an opportunity to observe the professional opera production process and interact with performing artists.
