Papi Ricky: La Película brings iconic Chilean teleserie characters to the big screen

The film ‘Papi Ricky: La Película’ has been released, serving as a cinematic continuation of one of Chile’s most iconic teleseries. Directed by Sebastián Schindel and starring Jorge Zabaleta, Belén Soto, and María Elena Swett, the story follows Alicia, who returns to Chile with her Spanish partner after years abroad. Her return triggers unexpected family conflicts and forces the characters Ricky and Catrala to confront deep-seated dynamics.

The film’s premiere was attended by family members, including Belén Soto’s mother, Carolina Infante, and her brother, Vicente Ramírez Infante. During the event, Vicente expressed pride in his sister’s professional achievements and noted that while he admires her dedication, he has no current interest in pursuing an acting career due to the significant effort required for the profession.
