Pappardelle contestants continue winning streak on Reazione a Catena

The contestants known as ‘the Pappardelle’—comprising three friends from Florence, Francesca, Carolina, and Maria Giulia—have continued their winning streak on the Rai 1 game show ‘Reazione a Catena’.

During the episode aired on August 17, 2026, the group reached the final stage, bringing their total accumulated winnings to over 90,000 euros. However, in the subsequent episode on August 18, 2026, the trio failed to guess the mystery word in ‘L’Ultima Catena’, missing out on a prize pool of 1,063 euros. Their total winnings currently stand at 96,596 euros.

Host Pino Insegno noted a moment of error during the August 17 broadcast where he provided an invalid indication, for which he apologized on air. The group’s prolonged success has also sparked various reactions among viewers on social media.
