Pará government opens first Usina da Paz in Portel

The Government of Pará has inaugurated the first Usina da Paz (UsiPaz) in the Marajó Archipelago, located in the municipality of Portel. This facility marks the 34th unit in the state and ensures that all 12 integration regions of Pará now have at least one active Usina da Paz.

Spanning approximately 11,000 square meters, the complex provides over 70 types of free services. These include healthcare (medical and dental consultations, psychological support), citizenship services (document issuance, social program access), education (tutoring, professional training), and leisure activities. The infrastructure features a library, computer and music rooms, a gastronomy area, a multicultural plaza, a swimming pool, a multi-sport complex, and an outdoor gym.

The initiative aims to act as a social transformation tool by bringing essential public services closer to local residents, specifically targeting children, youth, and families in the region.
