Pará police indict referee and former FPF official for match report fraud

The Civil Police of Pará have indicted referee Olivaldo José Alves Moraes and Fernando José de Castro Rodrigues, former president of the Refereeing Commission of the Paraense Football Federation (FPF), for alleged fraud involving a match report.

The investigation concerns a match between Paraense and Santos played on November 6, 2025, during the Parazão championship. According to police findings, the original match report recorded the expulsion of one player, Gabriel de Aviz Vidal. However, an addendum made four days later changed the information to name a different athlete, Francisco Kawan da Costa Monteiro, as the expelled player.

Authorities concluded that this was not a simple correction of an error but a deliberate alteration of information related to a sporting competition. The indictment is based on Article 200 of the General Sports Law. While investigators also looked into allegations of coercion involving Rodrigues, no indictment was issued for that specific charge due to a lack of evidence. The case has been forwarded to the Public Ministry for further legal action.
