Pará public agencies roll out community service projects in Belém and Curralinho

The Defensoria Pública of the State of Pará launched the "Julho Verde" project in the Belém neighborhoods of Outeiro and Mosqueiro from July 17 to 25. The initiative provided free citizenship services—including identity cards, CPF renewals and voter‑registration documents—at school‑based kiosks, and paired them with environmental‑education activities such as beach clean‑up walks on Praia do Amor and Praia do Paraíso.

Separately, the Ministério Público do Estado do Pará conducted the "Rios de Proteção" project in Curralinho, Marajó, between August 4 and 7, 2026. Coordinated by prosecutor Patrícia de Fátima de Carvalho Araújo, the program offered workshops, lectures, a film screening and a municipal commitment ceremony aimed at strengthening the network against sexual violence targeting children and adolescents. Both projects were presented as part of the agencies' broader effort to expand public‑service outreach in the state.
