Paraíba 2026 election candidates declare significant assets

An analysis of asset declarations for the 2026 elections in Paraíba reveals that out of approximately 280 candidates, more than 80 have declared wealth exceeding R$ 1 million. The data, sourced from the Electoral Justice DivulgaCand system, reflects values reported by the candidates themselves and may not represent current market values.

The report highlights several notable declarations and discrepancies. Suely Soares (Rede), a candidate for state deputy, declared R$ 103 million, which includes a Volkswagen Fox valued at R$ 3 million and an apartment valued at R$ 100 million. Flávio Amaral (PL), who declared R$ 27 million, is no longer considered an active candidate after resigning his position as a Senate substitute.

Among the remaining eligible candidates with high declared assets are Fábio Tyrone (PSB) with R$ 14.47 million, Percival (PCdoB) with R$ 12.59 million, and Roberto Franca (PSB) with R$ 9.24 million.
