Paraíba Blood Center Announces July Mobile Donation Schedule

The Paraíba Hemocenter released its calendar for mobile blood‑collection drives during the second half of July. The unit will operate in Alhandra on Saturday, 18 July, starting at 8 a.m. in Praça Nossa Senhora da Assunção. It will move to João Pessoa on Wednesday, 22 July, at 8 a.m. at the Hospital de Guarnição on Avenida Epitácio Pessoa. The next stop is Pilar on Saturday, 28 July, from 9 a.m. on Rua José Lins do Rego, and the final drive will be in Sumé on Monday, 30 July, at the Consórco Público Intermunicipal de Saúde do Cariri Ocidental.

People interested in donating must present a government‑issued ID with a photo, be between 16 and 69 years old (with parental accompaniment for ages 16‑17), and be in good health, well‑fed and rested. The first donation must have occurred before age 60. These measures aim to keep blood stocks sufficient for public, private and charitable hospitals throughout the state.
