Paraíba faces low humidity alerts across 140 cities
The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) has issued weather alerts for several regions in Brazil due to low humidity levels. In the state of Paraíba, more than 140 cities are under warning.
Ten cities in Paraíba are under an orange alert, indicating high danger, with relative humidity expected to drop between 12% and 20%. This level of dryness poses a risk of forest fires and health issues such as skin dryness and respiratory discomfort. Additionally, 140 cities are under a yellow alert for potential danger, with humidity levels ranging between 20% and 30%.
Authorities recommend that the population maintains hydration and avoids intense physical activities during the hottest and driest parts of the day to mitigate health risks.
