Paraíba launches integrated security operation as federal police seize illegal goods
The Federal Highway Police (PRF) conducted a series of inspections on federal highways in Paraíba, intercepting illegal cargo such as pillows and 16 tonnes of undocumented corn, and executing a pending robbery arrest. The seized vehicles and goods were handed over to state tax authorities for legal processing.
In parallel, the state government inaugurated the "Paraíba Mais Segura" operation, a coordinated effort involving the Military Police, Civil Police, Firefighters and the state traffic agency. Initially focused on the Greater João Pessoa metropolitan area and later expanding to the interior, the operation aims to increase police presence, curb property crimes and drug trafficking, and maintain a permanent security posture for the coming months.
