Paraíba political history and senator performance analyzed

New political analysis and historical resources have been released regarding the state of Paraíba, Brazil. A new podcast series titled ‘Governadores: A História do Executivo na Paraíba’ provides a detailed account of state governments from the era of redemocratization, beginning with Tarcísio Burity in 1986, through to the administration of João Azevêdo. The series features interviews with political figures, sociologists, and historians to discuss various mandates, including the term of Ronaldo Cunha Lima and the interrupted administration of Antônio Mariz.

In a separate development, an evaluation of Paraíba's senators for the second quarter of 2026 has been published. This ranking utilizes official data from the Federal Senate to assess legislative productivity, presence in voting sessions, floor speeches, and the social impact of proposed legislation. The assessment uses a scale of 0 to 10 across several indicators, including the proportion of bills introduced and participation in decision-making processes.
