Paraíba political leaders mobilize support for Lula

Political leaders in Paraíba are mobilizing support for President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva following the 2026 elections. Councilwoman Valéria Aragão emphasized the state's role in strengthening the president's position, focusing on economic growth and social vulnerability programs.

State Deputy Francisca Motta of the Republicanos party also addressed the Legislative Assembly of Paraíba to review election results. She highlighted the significant vote counts achieved by her political group, noting that allies surpassed one million votes in the state. Motta specifically cited the success of Hugo Motta, Nabor Wanderley, and Olívia Motta, the latter of whom achieved the highest vote count for a woman in the history of the state legislature.
