Paraíba Public Prosecutor files lawsuit against Massai Construction

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Paraíba has filed a lawsuit against Construtora Massai and the municipal administration of Cabedelo, demanding structural modifications to the Belvedere residential building. Technical investigations revealed that the coastal building exceeded the legally permitted vertical limit by nearly one meter, resulting in an irregular increase in total constructed area.

Prosecutors are seeking the partial demolition of the excess structure to restore urban height standards in the coastal region. Additionally, the lawsuit requests millions of reais in collective moral damages, with funds intended for a state fund if the court upholds the arguments. The prosecution emphasized that financial compensation alone is insufficient to resolve the urban planning violation.
