Unale holds meeting for Legislative Assembly Attorneys General

Various regional developments across Brazil have been reported, including political, economic, and social updates. In Brasília, Unale held a meeting for Attorneys General of Legislative Assemblies to discuss parliamentary statutes, immunity, and the transparency of parliamentary amendments. Robert Wagner and Ricardo Riva were elected as vice-presidents for the North and Central-West regions, respectively.

Economic and social indicators show mixed results. In Ceará, rural credit grew 46% to R$ 3.17 billion, largely driven by family farming through Pronaf. Conversely, in Maranhão, total rural credit saw a decline, though family farming credit rose by 13%. In Paraíba, the service sector employed over 157,000 people in 2024, while João Pessoa reported significant growth in tax revenue (ISS and IPTU).

Public safety and health updates include Paraná rising to 4th place in the State Competitiveness Ranking due to improved security indicators, alongside a sharp decline in dengue cases. In Apucarana, dengue cases dropped by approximately 98.5% compared to previous years. In housing, João Pessoa’s ‘Compra Assistida’ program has helped over 220 families move from risk areas, while Paranavaí announced plans for 1,912 new homes.
