Paradox Interactive leaks new strategy game Afterworld

Paradox Interactive has accidentally leaked details regarding its upcoming unannounced title, Afterworld, ahead of its scheduled reveal at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25. The leak occurred when the game's name appeared in the “Unreleased Games” filter on the company's official forums and was subsequently discovered in a Discord server description.

Afterworld is described as an original post-apocalyptic survival grand strategy game. Players will reportedly lead tribes of survivors, manage settlements in wasteland environments, rediscover ancient technologies, and engage in both political struggles and military conflicts.

The leak follows a series of cryptic teasers released by the publisher on social media, which featured apocalyptic imagery from previous titles like Crusader Kings 3 and Stellaris. While the accidental disclosure has disrupted the planned promotional buildup, the official debut trailer is still expected during the Gamescom event.
