Paradox Interactive announces Crusader Kings III: Silk & Silver expansion

Paradox Interactive has announced ‘Silk & Silver’, a new expansion for the grand strategy role-playing game Crusader Kings III, scheduled for release on November 17. The DLC focuses heavily on trade and economic power.

Players can manage merchant companies, specializing in one of three paths: caravan leaders, moneylenders, or artisans. The expansion introduces over 40 types of goods and allows players to establish trade routes, build wealth, and influence political figures through lobbying or monopolies.

Additionally, the update introduces republican governments, enabling players to control patrician families in cities such as Venice or Genoa. The expansion will also include two new starting bookmarks set in 1066 and 1178.
