Paradox Interactive announces Stellaris: Willpower expansion

Paradox Interactive and Abrakam have announced 'Stellaris: Willpower', a major expansion for the sci-fi grand strategy game scheduled for release on November 23, 2026. The expansion introduces mechanics centered on the evolution of ethics into powerful ideologies that can be spread across the galaxy.

Players can use Starbases, Hyper Relays, and Ideological Beacons to extend their influence, potentially causing foreign populations to form fanatic factions that undermine enemies from within. The expansion also features 'Galactic Halls', which are relocatable structures that boost local production and ideological reach.

A new victory path, 'Force of Will', allows players to win by converting populations and drawing other empires into their orbit rather than through traditional conquest. Additionally, the update introduces ideological diplomacy, espionage operations to influence reach or sow doubt, and three new origins, including the 'Golden Generation'.

The expansion is included in the Season 10 Expansion Pass or available for individual purchase at $24.99 / £20.99 / €24.99.
