Paradoxium wins Group 3 Poseidon Stakes at Flemington

Paradoxium, trained by Bjorn Baker, won the Group 3 Poseidon Stakes (1100m) at Flemington on Saturday. Ridden by Jason Collett, the unbeaten colt led from start to finish to secure a one-length victory over the favourite, Mbube. Big Sky finished third, half a neck behind the leaders.

This victory marks Paradoxium’s first appearance in Melbourne and positions the colt as a strong contender for the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes in late October. Baker noted that the performance reminded him of former champion Ozzmosis. The colt is scheduled to compete in the Group 2 Roman Consul Stakes in Sydney next month as final preparation for the Coolmore Stud Stakes.
