Paragon Biosciences named BioTech Company of the Year

Paragon Biosciences has been named “Overall BioTech Company of the Year” in the sixth annual BioTech Breakthrough Awards. The company focuses on accelerating scientific innovation for conditions often overlooked in drug development.

One of Paragon’s key initiatives involved building Emalex Biosciences to develop a first-in-class investigational treatment for Tourette syndrome. Following positive Phase 2b and Phase 3 study results, Teva Pharmaceuticals acquired Emalex during its New Drug Application submission. The therapy is currently under Priority Review by the FDA.
