Paraguay and Argentina launch audiovisual co-development contest
The National Institute of Audiovisual Paraguay (INAP) and the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts of Argentina (INCAA) have launched a call for the 2026 Audiovisual Project Co-development Contest. The initiative aims to strengthen alliances between producers in both nations and integrate their film industries.
The contest is open for fiction, documentary, or animation feature films. Four projects will be selected—two from Paraguay and two from Argentina—with each receiving a stimulus fund of $35,000. Applications are open until December 30, 2026, and must be submitted by Paraguayan audiovisual companies or independent producers holding a Certificate of Nationality from INAP.
An international jury will evaluate submissions based on artistic quality, distribution viability, schedule consistency, and team experience. Selected projects are expected to be announced in March 2027.
